OKLAHOMA CITY -- Two parents of a Tuttle High School student confessed Friday to purchasing $86 worth of alcohol, supplying it to minors attending a party that's to blame for the death of high school cheerleader Kaitlyn Mounce.
"It was abundantly clear that this child's death was a result of this party where alcohol was served to underage teenagers," said Grady County Assistant District Attorney Lesley March.
The affidavit reports two Tuttle parents, John and Cheryl Kyle bought the liquor and said quote "they felt that they were the cool parents and if they partied at their house they would be safe."
The 15-year-old died in a wreck last weekend.
Investigators said the driver, 16-year-old Lance Duane Davis, was drunk. He lost control, flipped his truck and crashed into the phone pole after speeding down a Tuttle road. Two other teenagers inside the vehicle were injured.
A makeshift memorial sits on the site in remembrance of Mounce.
"She was definitely one of a kind," friend Brooke Hemphill said. "She always made you laugh about the little things in life, like anything she said was funny."
The close knit community and Tuttle High cheerleaders are raising money for Mounce's family.
"We hope to get a lot of money for her family and stuff just so we can give it to her mom because she's having a really rough time," friend Courtney Goff said.
In less than two hours, a local store raised over $2,000 for the Mounce family.
"She was everyone's best friend," cheerleading coach Nicole Breeden said. "She was never mean to anyone. She got us all pumped up whenever we were down and for everyone to come together to do this for them and her, it's just amazing."
Davis and the Kyle's have all been charged with manslaughter.
The Kyle's will also be charged with providing alcohol to minors.
They are all expected to turn themselves in sometime Friday evening.
