Recruit Critically Injured At OKC Police Training Academy

OKLAHOMA CITY -

News 9 has learned a police recruit is in the Intensive Care Unit at a metro hospital after being injured at the training academy.

The Oklahoma City Police Department is not releasing the recruit's name, age or how he was injured, but it has been confirmed the incident did not involve a firearm.

The academy is still trying to notify the recruit's family, who apparently lives out of the country.
