Multiple Cars Involved In North OKC Accident

OKLAHOMA CITY -

Traffic on southbound lanes of the Broadway Extension at westbound Interstate 44 is moving slowly due to an accident involving as many as eight cars.

The crashed happened around 7 a.m. Thursday. The first accident caused a chain reaction, and several cars slammed into the backs of vehicles in front of them.

The cars involved in the crash have been cleared away, but traffic remains backed up.

There were injuries in the accident, but they do not appear to be serious.
