Police Investigating Deadly Hit-And-Run In Kingfisher County

KINGFISHER COUNTY, Oklahoma -

Investigators are searching for the person responsible for a fatal hit-and-run accident in Kingfisher County early Sunday morning.

According to the police report, 23-year-old Caleb Jeremiah Canaday was found lying on the southbound lane of a county road one mile north, two miles east and approximately one-tenth of a mile north of Dover, Oklahoma around 3 a.m. Sunday.

Investigators say it appears Canaday was lying in the roadway when he was run over.

Canaday was pronounced dead at the scene and transported to the Medical Examiner's office in Oklahoma City. The incident is still under investigation.
