OKLAHOMA CITY -- Oklahoma City police have arrested a man with a gun following a standoff at a home near an elementary school.
No injuries were reported.
Sgt. Jennifer Wardlow said officers responding to a call of shots fired Tuesday morning went to the home near Mark Twain Elementary School -- just east of State Fair Park in western Oklahoma City.
Wardlow 51-year-old Doroteo Rendon was arrested for possession of a firearm after a felony conviction. Rendon ran into the house when officers arrived, but then surrendered.
Rendon has two pre-existing warrants for his arrest. When police arrested him, he told officers he thought someone was snooping around his house.
