OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Climatologists say November in Oklahoma was the ninth warmest on record, with a statewide average temperature of nearly 53 degrees.
The warm November this year followed the coldest October on record, with a statewide average temperature of 54.3 degrees. The statewide average is the daily high and low temperatures across the state averaged together for each day.
Oklahoma Climatological Survey spokesman Gary McManus says October was the fifth wettest every recorded, with an average statewide rainfall of 6.89 inches. November was much drier, with a rainfall average of 0.63 inches.
The warmest temperature in November was 89 degrees at Buffalo, Slapout, and Beaver on Nov. 6 and at Woodward Nov. 7. The coolest temperature was 17 degrees at Kenton on Nov. 25 and Beaver on Nov. 30.
