ADA, Okla. (AP) - Authorities say an Ada teenager died after he crashed his vehicle during a police chase in Pontotac County.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says 18-year-old Joshua C. Kelley was pronounced dead at the scene of the wreck on U.S. 377 a half mile north of Ada early Sunday morning.
Authorities say trooper James McKee used his patrol car to spin Kelley's sport utility vehicle, and the SUV rolled several times in the median. Kelley was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the SUV after McKee spun it.
Police were trying to pull over Kelley after a caller reported an SUV driving through residential yards on a county road north of Ada.
