OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Police say an Oklahoma City woman has admitted helping kill a man whose body was found in the trunk of his burned car near Lake Thunderbird.

A court affidavit filed by a Norman police detective says Sheila R. Starr, 24, admitted she and boyfriend Antonio Cordell Mendoza beat the man at her apartment, then put his body in the car trunk.

She says she drove the victim's Saturn away from her apartment while Mendoza followed in another car. The affidavit says she also admitted they set the Saturn on fire by the lake. A witness called 911 early on Nov. 15 to report the car on fire.

The detective reported the victimÂ’s relatives and others stated the victim had socialized with Starr in the past.
