WOODWARD, Oklahoma - Woodward police say a 50-year-old woman who was shot in the head has died.
Detective Chuck Wheeler says the woman died about 10 a.m. Wednesday. She had been hospitalized in Oklahoma City.
Officials received a call about 1:50 p.m. Tuesday that the woman had been injured in a shooting in the garage of a residence.
Wheeler says officers were told initially that the wound was self-inflicted, but he says police are still investigating the incident.
Her name was not released.
