Before you hire a limo or a party bus, there are a few things to check.
First, see if they're legal. In order to be, the company has to be registered through the Oklahoma Corporation Commission. This ensures they have the proper insurance. Click here to see a current list of those running legally. Also, some cities require companies to be licensed with them if the bus is traveling through their town. For instance, Norman requires it and Oklahoma City does - but only for limos. Oklahoma City's ordinance has a loophole that does not require party busses to be licensed. But the city attorney's office is working to change that. For each city, call the non-emergency police number and ask to speak with their permits division.
The second thing, is make sure you know what you're getting. The prices vary greatly from company to company and so does the bus you get. Ask what year the bus/limo is. Have people smoked in it? Also, ask to see it in person - that way you know exactly what you're getting.
