OKLAHOMA CITY -- A Spencer man died on an Oklahoma City highway just after 2 a.m. Saturday when his car failed to make the curve at an Interstate 44 exit ramp.

Alfred Barber Jr., 46, was driving northbound on I-44 when he attempted to take the off ramp to Interstate 40 eastbound. His 2003 Chevrolet Avalanche left the roadway to the left and rolled at least once.

Barber was ejected from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene of internal injuries. He was not wearing a safety belt, according to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol accident report.
