BEGGS, OK -- One person is dead after a fatal accident in Okmulgee County late Sunday night.
The accident happened just before midnight in Okmulgee County on state Highway 16, just west of Beggs.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol say the driver of a pickup truck was headed westbound when he veered off the road and rolled several times.
A Beggs Police officer and an Okmulgee Co Sheriff's deputy pulled the victim from the vehicle, but he later died.
Authorities have not yet released the driver's name pending notification of next of kin.
OHP troopers say they're not sure what caused him to leave the roadway.
