Jason Wells was found staggering out of the woods Thursday with severe lacerations on his neck, several stab wound and had been beaten. He was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition on Thursday.News9.com
STILLWATER, Oklahoma -- A father and son have been arrested in connection with a brutal stabbing attack on a Stillwater man, according to Stillwater police.
Howard Gashwazra, 40, and Aaron Gashwazra, 24, were arrested Friday on complaints of attempted murder and robbery.
Jason Wells, 19, was found Thursday staggering out of the woods at Lake McMurtry with severe lacerations to his neck, numerous other stab wounds and had been beaten.
Wells' was transported to OU Medical Center in critical condition.
Friday police were able to communicate with Wells via written communication. Wells told police he had met two suspects in a bar area known as "The Strip" in Stillwater on Wednesday night, and later the three went to Lake McMurty. While there, Wells told police the suspects beat and stabbed him then cut his throat and stole some personal belongings.
Wells was able to describe his attackers as a Native American father and son from the Perkins/Tryon area and provided physical description, approximate ages, tattoos and a vehicle description.
Howard and Aaron Gashwazra have not been charged, but Stillwater police said charges will be presented in the near future to the Noble County District Attorney's Office.
Both Howard and Aaron have lengthy criminal records.
