CORDELL, Oklahoma -- A search is underway in Washita County for a Cordell man who has been missing since June. Traces of the man turned up after the he disappeared, but he has yet to be found.

Anthony Holland, 51, disappeared one Sunday afternoon after running an errand and hasn't been heard from or seen since. His family says they just want answers.

"No, I don't want to think about that, I want to think about that he's there somewhere," Anthony's sister Candice Graham said.

The family hasn't seen Holland since June 21 after he ran an errand and then spoke briefly with his wife on the phone.

Graham's abandoned work truck was found the next day on this farm land he owns. The family says he was always out exploring. His cell phone was also found, but no sign of Holland.

"It's really, really difficult and the main thing is just not knowing, just not having any answers to where he could be, what could have happened," Graham said.

The Washita County Sheriff's Office along with the Texas search group Equsearch has been combing the area trying to find Holland, but the terrain hasn't made the search easy.

"We're in western Oklahoma which is usually flat and dry, and this is some of the roughest terrain I've seen out here," private investigator Tami Con said. "There's no place for tire prints, I mean, it's all just grass, there's caverns, caves, places for water; it's a big challenge."

The family says they're going over everything right now including the possibility of foul play, or that Holland may have just left willingly. They're holding out hope for a happy ending.

"That he left on his own, that somebody has taken him and hasn't hurt him, but that is our hope," Graham said.

The family says it's unlike Holland to just up and leave on his own; he's never done that before.

OSBI is also helping with the search. They're asking anyone who may know something about Holland's disappearance to give them or the Washita County Sheriff's Office a call.
