HARRAH, Oklahoma - A man was arrested on a DUI complaint today, one day after being released from jail on a previous DUI complaint.
Bruce A. Ware, 55, was arrested Tuesday morning after a short pursuit with sheriff's deputies near Harrah.
Deputies received a 911 call about a man who appeared to be driving drunk at a bank drive-through near N.E. 23rd Street and Dobbs Road. Deputies were en route to the bank, when the man drove off and caused a hit-and-run collision at N.E. 23rd Street and Luther Road, according to a sheriff's report.
No injuries were reported in the wreck.
A deputy responding to the call saw the wreck and gave pursuit to the vehicle. The chase lasted about 10 blocks. When the deputy stopped the vehicle, Ware was at the wheel and appeared to be intoxicated, according to the report.
Ware was transported to a hospital for observation. His breath test confirmed a .26 alcohol level, more than three times the legal limit, according to the sheriff's report.
Ware had only been out of jail for a day when he was arrested Tuesday. Ware was released from the Oklahoma County jail on Monday after being arrested July 2 by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol on a DUI complaint.
No charges have been filed yet in this month's arrest. However, Ware pled guilty to driving under the influence in 2006, according to Oklahoma County court records.
