Attorney General Drew Edmondson will discuss his political future Wednesday at three press conferences across Oklahoma.News9.com
OKLAHOMA CITY - Attorney General Drew Edmondson officially announced he's running for governor in 2010.
Edmondson is in his fourth term as attorney general and has been considered a strong potential Democratic candidate for governor in 2010.
His first press conference is at 10 a.m. at the state Capitol in Oklahoma City. News9.com will live stream the announcement.
A video ad announcing Edmondson's candidacy also appeared on the Web site http://www.edmondson2010.com/ late Tuesday night, but was quickly removed.
Edmondson has already formed a committee and started raising funds for a 2010 race, according to State Ethics Commission records.
Lieutenant Governor Jari Askins is the only other Democrat to enter the race.
Congresswoman Mary Fallin and State Senator Randy Brogdon are the only Republicans to officially enter the race to replace term-limited Governor Brad Henry.
