U.S. House - District 5

Clark Duffe (I/L) District 5
Education
Oklahoma State University, B.A. English, B.S. Biology
Oklahoma State University OKC, A.S. Architectural Technology
Hometown
Edmond
What is your reason for running?
“Because I'm the only one in the race who believes in all people's rights, all the time. Republicans, Democrats, and other Independents only go part way to freedom, and believe in controlling people's lives in certain ways. Libertarians, like me, believe that people have the right to live their lives, raise their family, earn a living and spend their money any way they choose, just as long as they're not hurting someone else against that person's will.”
Why should Oklahomans vote for you?
“I won't be owned by special interest groups, or controlled by political parties. I won't promise what I won't -- or can't -- deliver. I will be there to serve the people of District 5, not big business, big religion, big labor, big government or big money. Constituents may not agree with my decisions all the time, but I will explain what I do and why I do it. It will then be up to them to decide whether or not to return me to office.”
What is your political experience?
Current: Vice Chair, Oklahoma Libertarian Party
Secretary, Oklahoma Libertarian Party
2006: Ran for State House Dist 39 as Republican
2004: Ran for Edmond School Board, non-partisan race
2000: Ran for State Senate District 41 as Libertarian
