What is your reason for running?
“Our country is in deep trouble. The amount of spending and debt being incurred by our government is bankrupting our country, and is causing us to lose our nation's bond rating. And we still face grave threats from terrorism around the world. When I returned from being deployed to Iraq, I did not think I would get involved in running for public office again. But I am so alarmed at the direction our country is taking that I cannot stand idly by and watch the current leadership destroy our country. I have a calling to run for Congress, just as I was called to serve our country in Iraq.”
Why should Oklahomans vote for you?
“We need fighters in Congress today- men and women with a proven record of fighting for the conservative principles that make our country great. I am a fighter: as a grassroots conservative activist for 20 years; as a small business owner for 15 years; as a legislator who cut taxes, reduced government spending, and fought for conservative ideals; and as a soldier, who joined the Army National Guard at age 37, to honor our veterans by serving our country in uniform. I took an oath to defend our Constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. I served our country in Iraq, and now offer my service to our country in Congress.”
What is your political experience?
1998-2006: Oklahoma House of Representatives, District 94 (Del City and southeast OKC)
