  • Take a picture or shoot a video of breaking news, weather, anything you think is newsworthy.
  • E-mail the photo or video to pics@News9.net
  • The subject line of your email will be your photo or video’s title.
  • Any text entered in the email’s body text will appear under your photo.
  • If your email has a signature please remove it before sending us your pics and videos.

ENTER A CONTEST

  • To enter Share contests you must create an account.
  • Once you have an account, log-in and select the contest name from the contest pull down menu.
  • On the contest page click the ‘Upload’ button, you will only load one (1) image or video per contest.
  • On the page that opens browse in your image or video by clicking the ‘Select’ button.
  • Fill out the title field; this is the title that will appear above your image or video.
  • The description field is optional; anything entered here will appear under your image or video.
  • Now scroll down to the bottom of the page and click ‘Submit,’ this will open the official contest registration form.
  • Fill out the registration form completely then click ‘Finished.’

After you’ve completed the registration form your image or video should appear on the site in about 10 minutes, however it can take longer. The time it takes for an image or video to appear on the site is dependent on the file size. Larger files will take longer to load.

MOBILE VERIFICATION

If you use a mobile device to send us picture you will receive a Mobile Verification number via a text message. If you have an account with News9.com you can log-on, click the Share tab and type the five digit mobile verification number into our Mobile Verification section located under the Upload tab. This allows you to link your email account with your mobile device!
