EDMOND, Oklahoma – With more snow in the forecast, grocery stores are working hard to restock their shelves, but it's not always fast enough. The stores are dealing with a perfect storm from customers restocking after the past week's storm, other prepping for the coming snow and even more shopping for Super Bowl parties.

At Crest Foods in Edmond, operation restock is well underway.

"We are basically stocking up on things like eggs, cheese, milk, bread, tomatoes, whatever we can get our hands on," said Jonathan Davis, Crest's Operations Manager.

Davis said it all starts in the backroom where he said things are running smoothly.

"The backroom is stocked and we got deliveries. We got truck deliveries coming in. We are prepared,' said Davis. "Just trying to stay ahead of the game."

Crest has workers going at full speed, between extra stockers and all but two of their 21 registers open.

"It's just been really wild trying to keep up with demands the customers," said Davis.

Davis said to make sure Crest's shelves remain stocked they will bring in additional stockers during their overnight hours.

Customer Shelly Schmidt said she hadn't spent this much on groceries since Thanksgiving. Other agreed.

"I have not spent this much money on groceries in I don't know how long but you don't know what the roads are going to be like. You want to make sure you have everything," said customer Aubre Jackson.

And with the mid-week storm lurking, shopper said they would be back to restock sooner than usual.
