EDMOND, Oklahoma – Edmond police have identified two bodies found inside an Edmond residence in the 800 block of New Bond Circle near Bryant Avenue and Danforth Road.

Edmond police said a woman in the house called 911 Saturday evening after finding the bodies or her husband and son inside. Investigators believe Curtis Hawker, 62, and his son Bruce Hawker, 32, were both shot to death in a murder suicide. Investigators say so far they can't tell who opened fire.

Police say there has never been any history of violence at the house.

"Our detectives are still talking to family members to determine what the relationship was between father and son and unfortunately no one was home at the time so there's not a lot of answers for people to give us," said Edmond Police Officer James Hamm.

Both police and neighbors said the situation is extremely unusual for the neighborhood near the UCO campus.

"This is a very quiet neighborhood. Very minimum police calls if any, so it's probably a shocking situation for this street and this neighborhood," Hamm said.

Detectives are looking at forensic evidence to determine who committed the act of murder.
