Utility Bill Assistance

If you need help paying your utility bills, be cautious.  If someone says they'll give you assistance, but you have to pay them a fee, run!  No legit company will do that.    Here's a list of a few agencies that may be able to help:

Central Oklahoma Community Action Agency (Guthrie).  Help with gas, electric, & water to those who qualify

Community Action Agency of OKC.
Helps with electric only if you've received a cut off notice and with water when there are funds.  They are currently out of funds to help with water bills but that should change in 2010.

Hope Center of Edmond assists Edmond residents who qualify.

Salvation Army - OKC 246-1060 - has utility assistance but out of funds for right now.
Salvation Army - Candian County 262-7042 - has utility assistance but out of funds for right now.

Urban League of Greater OKC - has utility assistance but out of funds for right now
