OKLAHOMA CITY -- The affidavit for the search of the home of an Oklahoma City Police officer accused of molesting his 16-year-old foster son has been placed under seal.

Sgt. Maurice Martinez is an 18-year-veteran of the force and spent more than a decade as a foster and adoptive parent. He was arrested in January following allegations of sexual misconduct involving the teenager.

Prosecutors with the Oklahoma County District Attorney's office said not releasing the affidavit is necessary for the cooperation and safety of witnesses and the alleged victim. A hearing on the matter has been set for February 25.

Court papers revealed several cell phones were seized and are being analyzed by the Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation. Also seized were several computers, memory cards, digital cameras, and play stations. Pictures, documents, bed linens and surveillance cameras were also taken as part of the search warrant.

Friends said Martinez is a well-loved foster parent who has taken in and adopted more than 50 children over the past 10 years. He even won an award for being one of the top foster parents in the state. Many of his adopted and former foster children spoke in the officer's defense after the allegations surfaced.

Even the adopted 16- year-old boy who reportedly made the allegations has recanted. He said in a video recording that his comments were taken out of context and that Martinez did not sexually abuse him.

Martinez has also denied the allegations against him and has criticized how police are handling the investigation. No charges have been filed against Martinez.
