OKLAHOMA CITY – Oklahoma City police are investigating a deadly shooting after they said a man called 911 to report accidentally shooting his wife in the head.

The incident happened in the 1300 block of Fleetwood Drive near N.W. 10th Street and County Line Road on the south side of Lake Overholser.

Police said at about 9:10 p.m. they received a phone call from a man who said he unintentionally shot his 50-year-old wife.

When emergency crews arrived, they found the woman with a wound to the head. She was transported to a local hospital were she was pronounced dead. Her name has not been released.

Police are investigating whether this shooting was in fact accidental and said they are questioning one person in the incident.
