OKLAHOMA CITY – Some schools have already canceled classes for Friday.

Oklahoma City Public Schools will not be in session for the remainder of the week.

As of 11 a.m. Thursday, Brenda Lyons with Edmond Public Schools says classes will resume Friday. District officials closed schools late last night based on weather, she said. The district has three snow days built into their calendar.

Yukon district officials said they canceled class because of power outages. Power has been restored to the schools and they plan to have class on Friday.

Deer Creek officials said they decided to close schools Thursday morning because the majority of their campuses were without power. Now that power has been restored, schools will be open Friday.

Putnam City schools spokesman Steve Lindley said the district has cancelled classed for Friday.

Millwood Schools will be open on Friday.

NEWS 9 will continue to check with other school districts throughout the day. Be sure to check back for updates and click on the complete closings list.
