Man lying on tracks killed by train

Associated Press - November 21, 2009 8:05 PM ET

MOORE, Okla. (AP) - Moore police say a man was struck and killed by a train while he was lying on the tracks.

Sgt. Greg Anderson says the conductor of a Burlington Northern Santa Fe train saw the man near the 34th Street intersection just before the train hit him about 6 a.m.

Anderson says investigators found no obvious signs of foul play at the scene, and no one else was seen around the tracks at the time.

Anderson says the body, described as an adult white male, was taken to the state medical examiner's office for identification if no one comes forward about a missing person.
