EDMOND, Oklahoma -- An airline pilot based in Oklahoma is facing felony charges after pulling a gun on two motorists in a road-rage incident.

The two motorists, a young couple who wish to remain anonymous, said they fear for their safety after 43-year-old Darryl Inman threatened them while driving in Edmond.

They claim Inman pulled out form a side street, almost hitting their truck.

"When I honked at the guy, he slammed on his breaks, almost forcing me to rear-end him," the unidentified woman said.

The woman, who was driving, noticed what appeared to be a gun in Inman's hand.

"I was really afraid he was going to shoot," she said. "I thought he was going to kill me."

The couple followed Inman to a supermarket and called police.

Inman told police he worked for JetBlue, and several Internet Web sites list him as a Captain who flies an Airbus for the company.

Police found a loaded gun in Inman's pocket and loaded gun in his truck, and said Inman had a valid license to carry a concealed weapon.

"You can have a license to carry a gun." said Glynda Chu of the Edmond Police Department. "That does not give you a license to threaten people. You can't pull a gun out and waive it at somebody in a threatening way.

"You cannot let your anger get the best of you when you're on the roads."

Inman is now facing felony charges for pointing the gun.

"Even though he didn't hurt any of us, thank God, I do want to see him go to jail," the unidentified man said.

Inman will be in court on June 26th for arraignment.
