Warm Tuesday Expected, Storm Chances Return Wednesday

We are in for a beautiful Tuesday with sunshine and 80s, and a nice outlook this afternoon and evening.

What is the weather like on Tuesday?

It will be a warm day today with the highs peaking in the low 80s this afternoon.

Tuesday night and Wednesday morning, there is a chance for scattered showers and storms to develop, the highest chances for storms are along and north of Interstate 40.

What is the weather like for the rest of the week?

Wednesday afternoon will be hot with 80s and 90s in the forecast.

Gulf moisture will be lacking, but there is going to be enough instability for severe storms.

Numerous storms are expected Wednesday afternoon in the west and these will spread across Oklahoma through the evening. There is a low risk these storms will be severe.

Winds will get into the 65-75 miles per hour range, which could be damaging. There is a very low tornado risk on Wednesday.

There will be additional storms Thursday and these could also be severe.
